If you see a message such as ‘Reply from 10.0.2.22 bytes = 32 time < 1ms TTL = 64’, it means that the IP address you selected is not available. Try

again with another IP address. If the IP address you selected is available you will see the message ‘Destination host unreachable’.

Note down this address since this will have to be entered into the terminal.

1.6 LAN CONNECTION

Press , navigate to COMM using the

arrow keys and press .

Select Ethernet. Press . Highlight IP address and press .

Enter the free IP address you have found

(see 1.5 step 4).

The IP address of your computer will be

displayed.

To search for a free IP address which

you can use for the terminal, type ‘ping ’,

followed by your IP address, change the two

last digits, and press Enter.
